SUV sales

Long time no see. It's been a long time since I posted here, but felt the urge to do so considering people are getting a false since of security with the gas prices being lower than they were in the past year or so. We're in for a rude awakening. Gas prices are going to go up again, and fast.

My brother is a car dealer for one of the top three auto makers. He said that because gas prices have dropped, people are now going back to buy big SUV's and trucks. He said those sales are up, and that their dealership is looking to buy used big SUV's because the demand is so high right now for used SUV's.

I find that crazy. Do people have such short memory. Gas prices are barely down even though oil prices are down to historic lows. I got bad news for you....when gas goes back up, they're going to be higher than ever, and they are going to stay high. Now's not the time to buy gas guzzlers. Just wanted to rant for a bit . Hope all is well here.

Wow. Insane. If that's the truth (I'd like to do more research on what cars are selling most) then I guess we don't learn from our mistakes. Doesn't really matter though. Gas prices are going to sky rocket again soon, and people will be out buying efficiency cars again.
