Default Hello from a noob

The Wife and I just purchased a 2006 Lexus RX400H and are interested in learning all we can to help maximize our mileage. Any hints, clues, techniques will be appreciated. We live in Birmingham Alabama.

Thanks for the help.

We had a Lexus ES300 at one point. The best part about it was that it had the MPG guage built in. I'm sure yours does too. The best way IMO for you to increase gas mileage would be to monitor that guage as much as possible and let off the gas slightly when you don't feel your hitting optimal fuel efficiency.

Other than that, I lightened my Lexus up a little by removing the spare tire, and a few extra's not needed. However, it's a Lexus, so it's built for luxury. i.e. I wouldn't remove too much.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
